At St. Eugene Catholic Church, the priest in 2004 was a brilliant scholar who had a hand puppet he called Charlie. As the kids left the sanctuary for children’s church, one of them got to hold Charlie on his hand. As Father Frank would say, “This stuff gets pretty complicated, so Charlie goes along to help out!”
